Update on Banned Iowa State Students

One of the three Iowa state affiliated individuals affected by President Trump’s travel ban is now back in the United States and at the university. A statement released by the university says this individual’s return to Ames was delayed by the executive order, but he is now back. The only other information we know about this case is that the man is employed in the college of engineering.

The other two people affected by the immigration and refugee ban are still out of the country. Iowa State says one is still pursuing his options and the other has decided not to come. All three people affected are Iranian.
