Iowa State will begin implementing a sexual violence prevention program known as the Green Dot initiative beginning immediately. The Green Dot program is a nationally-recognized system that works toward two objectives in raising awareness and combatting sexual assault: content development and training. Iowa State will select up to 40 volunteers from faculty to train on direct intervention, delegation, and distraction. These three steps involve making the facilitators better equipped to recognize the signs of sexual assault and to step in before something occurs. To learn more visit live-the-green-dot-dot-com.
